News: Fireball - Fuelling The Fire Tour 2018 Reveals First Names

Words by Maddy Howell

Academy Events in association with Fireball have revealed the first names for the line-up of the third annual Fireball - Fuelling The Fire Tour.

Kicking off in early December 2018, the run of dates will once again feature a jam-packed line-up of the best in punk music, headlined by Celtic-punk legends Flogging Molly, with support from California punk rock veterans Face to Face, Glasgow pop-punks Lost in Stereo, and very special guests still to be added.

Having proved itself as a huge success since its debut in 2015, the tour has already played host to the likes of legendary names such as Less Than Jake, Mariachi El Bronx, The Bennies, Reel Big Fish, Anti-Flag and Mad Caddies. To date, the tour has sold nearly 30,000 tickets across twenty of the UK’s most prestigious live music venues, with the annual run of dates fast becoming a calendar favourite amongst the alternative crowd.

As if that wasn't enough, the Fireball’s Hottest Band 2019 competition is also returning this year in association with Kerrang! Magazine.

Kicking off on June 1st, the contest offers regional artists the chance to win an opening support slot on each of the December 2018 tour dates. The overall winner of the competition will be handed the title of Fireball’s Hottest Band 2019, with the promise of playing the entire ‘Fireball - Fuelling The Fire Tour’ next year, along with a host of other opportunities. Details on how to enter will be revealed soon.

Commenting on the news, Fireball UK brand manager James Pattison says, “I’m delighted to have the Fuelling The Fire Tour return for its third installment in 2018. We’ve had some really memorable nights over the past two years with some fantastic bands, and I’m confident this line-up is going to make it the best one yet.

Tickets for the shows are incredible value at just £15 each and are now on general sale over at See Tickets.
